The Creative Careers in Music Bootcamp is a 5-day virtual gathering that Scott leads to help college-level and early-career musicians design fulfilling careers and lives in music. 2020 has changed just about everything we know about making a living as musicians. But, there are still many ways you can create meaningful, productive, and sustainable careers in music now and in the future.

This bootcamp shares the values, principles, and practical skills that Scott has developed over the course of his career to help you invent your own purposeful life in music. You will learn to think creatively about your future, as well as develop actionable skills such as visioning, personal branding, marketing, fundraising, budgeting, public speaking, networking, and how to build a successful teaching studio.

The bootcamp will also reflect on the broader societal impact of COVID-19, the ongoing racial injustice across the country, and the persistent inequalities in the music field. For real change, we must change how we think and how we work. Participants will learn about the actions we can each take and how we can become musicians who care equally about the art and the health of our communities.
